I am a lifelong football fan and player along with finding the zen of running late in life.
The African Game
The African Game is a unique vision of the continent as documented by Nigerian photographer and filmmaker Andrew Dosunmu. Punctuated with vivid essays by journalist Knox Robinson, The African Game looks to soccer as a way to explore modern African life, culture, and identity.
Like a film artfully moving through its plot, The African Game follows a narrative of the sport in Cameroon, Senegal, Togo, Côte D'Ivoire, Angola, Ghana, Tunisia, and Egypt by exploring its resonance at all levels of the culture, from national team sponsorship to the unmistakable street style that Africa's soccer mania inspires.
PUMA donated proceeds from the sale of The African Game to Grassroots Soccer, a non-profit organization that mobilized the global soccer community in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

PAVEMENT BOUND - Lifestyle & Running
Inspired by the culture of city runners and crews PAVEMENT BOUND began as a series of articles written by friends on how they came to running and the joy of it. Chris Marsh a creative and outdoor champion founded PB as a creative movement.
As a vehicle to propel us all a little faster I interviewed, wrote, and curated a mix series by runners for runners of globally renowned DJ’s. Featuring the talents of DJ Ayres, Chances with Wolves, Skinny Macho and more we gave the world a beat to glide to.
The race was about to start in 5 mins, and the only other option was to join the elites as they were the first to set off. So I jumped over the barrier and got myself in the middle, looking sketchy as fuck, everyone was looking at me. I stayed in the middle just in case the security on the side pulled me out. I stayed there only until the race started, then I could be free to run the race properly.
I had made a fake bib. It had ran out of ink from all the run thru showers they had during the race, so half the text was missing. plus the last 100m is on TV so they don’t want a counterfeit bib getting through, HAHHA. Those fuckers pulled me out 100m from the finish line man. all that running for no fucking medal! I tried to go in the normal way, like two of my friends did with fake bibs too, but I got caught, didn’t I.
They wanted to arrest me, but I just jumped over the barrier towards the end and ran up to green park station. I got on the tube & went home to sleep, lol.
Nike+ Human Race - Gabe Fontaine with A-Rod - R/GA
Early in my career I had the pleasure of being part of one of the most brilliant creative agencies in the world at R/GA NYC where I was part of the global production team for Nike.
As part of the 2008 promotions for the Nike+ Human Race 10K I acted as a sort of donut chugging Richard Simmons supported by the legendary Alex Rodriguez to inspire people to get off their ass and run.
Specialized Vado & Como 5.0
There are worse ways to spend your day than riding a fancy Specialized e-bike around the Veluwe in the Netherlands for a day. Thanks to the John Lee and the team at EMEHT for picking a guy like me to ride up “the largest hill” in the Netherlands with drone cameras.
Nike Soccer - Crossbar Challenge - Freddy Adu & Michael Bradley
From my early days at R/GA NYC with two of the then US National Team’s young guns. My favorite part is our client saying ‘we gotta go” at the end.
